空撮　大雪山　お鉢平カルデラ　Aerial view of Ohachidaira Caldera, Mount Taisetsu　日本一早い紅葉も始まりました。

"お鉢平カルデラ"は、北海道の大雪山国立公園内にある約3万年前の爆発的噴火によってできた直径約2kmのすり鉢状の噴火火口です。 底部では今も有毒温泉と有毒ガス(硫化水素ガス)が噴出しており内部は立ち入り禁止ですが、「お鉢平展望台」からその雄大な姿を見渡すことができます。カルデラ底には湖底堆積物があり、かつてここは湖だったことがわかっています。
また、大雪山は日本一早い紅葉として知られ、標高1984メートルの黒岳頂上付近からお鉢平カルデラにかけて、紅葉が始まり、色づき始めています。
Mount Taisetsu Ohachidaira Caldera The Ohachidaira Caldera is a 2km-diameter cone-shaped eruption crater in Hokkaido's Daisetsuzan National Park that was created by an explosive eruption about 30,000 years ago. Toxic hot springs and toxic gases (hydrogen sulfide gas) still spew out from the bottom, and it is forbidden to enter the interior, but you can view its majestic appearance from the Ohachidaira Observatory. Lake-bottom deposits are found at the bottom of the caldera, and it is known that this was once a lake.
Mount Daisetsu is also known for having the earliest autumn foliage in Japan, with the leaves starting to change color from the 1,984-meter-high summit of Mt. Kurodake to the Ohachidaira Caldera.
