In May 2020 I damaged the all fiberglass spoiler/nose section. I took advantage of this to revise the nose to bring it closer to the original 70's Dallara X1/9 design.
This documents the main points of the revision. I changed my mind several times regarding the spoiler & lower nose section. The chin is so low, the rigid fiberglass was very easily damaged.
The spoiler is now a breakaway/flex panel, made from a Volvo S40 rear bumper cover, sectioned to fit the X1/9 profile.
I added Lexan headlamp covers, and later the Dallara Wing Replica, manufactured in the US (NLA). I switched back to an all metal trunk lid to properly support the Dallara wing.
