Is Scentsy a Pyramid Scheme ? | Frequently Asked Scentsy Questions

We get asked often if Scentsy is a pyramid scheme by people interested in becoming consultants - i even checked it out when i joined. The answer is NO! Scentsy is not a pyramid scheme. We are a party plan company, not even an MLM which is a company that people join mainly to get cheaper products. At Scentsy we host house partys and sell products and get the majority of our income from selling these products. You will notice that this definition I just gave is very different to that of pyramid scheme:

A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. (source: Wikipedia).

Scentsy is not a pyramid scheme because:
•We retail tangible end products - warmers, waxes, teddys and more
• We NEVER get paid for enrolling any new consultants. We are also paid on our sales - even when we get bonuses on our teams we only get them if WE make our sales targets (which are increased when we become team leaders).
