Climate Action Now!

This year Council will be working with the community to better understand how we can respond to climate change at a local level, and as a region to help develop a whole-of-community place-based Climate Action Plan (CAP).

The Climate Action Plan will include actions that respond, adapt and build resilience to the changing risks impacting the community, infrastructure and the environment for the entire region.

The plan collaborates climate actions with the community and their local area, high schools and key sectors including health, construction & built environment, tourism & retail, agriculture & land management, and manufacturing & industry.

Developing the Climate Action Plan follows on from the formal adoption of the Central Coast Climate Change Policy in July last year.
