2) DETAILS ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THIS VIDEO:
This was an interview taken by Cristi Dumitrascu (Radio Rock FM, Bucharest, Romania) with Evandro Rossetti (Roma, Italy) via telephone and broadcasted live on November 23, 2021. The interview is related to the artist and folk singer Valeriu Sterian. Valeriu Sterian died on September 16, 2000 and since then, Dan Stancu, was given full-authorization from his son, Oliver Sterian, to download, upload, use, and/or post any songs related to the music of "Valeriu Sterian" and/or his band "Valeriu Sterian si Compania de Sunet".
The music behind this broadcasted song ("Balada celor 5 cai colorati") is played directly from its original tape (cassette) during its live recording (1977, Timisoara, Romania). During this interview, Evandro Rossetti, who is in the possession of this tape (cassette), explains how it happened and who actually was able to make the recording back in 1977. In particular Evandro mentions that the physical tape (cassette) belonged to Sandu Grosu, a Romanian sound engineer who was touring with the rock-progressive band Sfinx and other folk artists (such as Valeriu Sterian) during their live performance. Evandro also reveals that a young girl named Nicol (pronounced Nicole) used to follow both Valeriu Sterian and Evandro Rossetti during their folk concerts back in the 70s. Nicole had the inspiration to record Valeriu Sterian while he was playing during his live performance in 1977, at the venue called "Sala Sporturilor" from Timisoara city.

3) ADDITIONAL NOTES FROM THE AUTHOR OF THIS VIDEO, DAN STANCU
(YouTube user: MusicSession)

The music behind this song was written by Carmen Marin, another folk singer who used to sing and play guitar together with Valeriu Sterian during 70s. Valeriu Sterian changed the lyrics of this song and adapted them to his own vocals. The orginal document of Valeriu Sterian's lyrics that was written by his hand is in my possession (was given to me via email by Aurel Gherghel, the show organizer from Timisoara city during 1977). Aurel Gherghel was also the person who literally made Valeriu Sterian to play this song during that time since (according to Evandro's interview) he wasn't really in the mood to perform it.

After many years we are proud to show to the public this forgotten song; a Romanian folk masterpiece that got preserved in time.

I would like to thank the following people - without them this would not have been possible in 2021. Thank you so much for helping and for making this possible !

a) Carmen Marin (Romanian folk artist, songwriter, poet)
b) Valeriu Octavian Sterian (Romanian folk artist, songwriter, poet)
c) Aurel Gherghel (Romanian folk and rock shows organizer)
d) Nicol (the woman who recorded this song)
e) Sandu Grosu (the man who gave the cassette to Nicol)
f) Evandro Rossetti (Romanian/Italian folk artist, songwriter, poet) for preserving the cassette of Sandu Grosu) in Italy, and who was able to publish it for the first time on FaceBook (on December 30, 2012) at Dan Stancu's request (circa December 28-29, 2012). The cassette contains a setlist of 3 songs in the following order: Ordinary Man (Om ca oricare), The ballad of the five colorful horses (Balada celor 5 cai colorati), and A story with outlaws (Amintire cu haiduci).
g) Ioan-Cristian Volanschi (also known as Cristi or Jean) for being able to remember this song in his mind (a portion of the words of the song) back in 2011, and to remind Dan Stancu about its existence. This leaded to Dan Stancu investigating the melody, and trying out to reproduce it (blindly) on his guitar, and eventually taking turns and speaking with both Aurel Gherghel, and Evandro Rossetti which happened later on, in 2012.
h) Tudor Petre (the man mentioned by Cristi Dumistrascu in this Radio Rock FM broadcast) who was able to bring great audio restoration to the quality of the song from its original recording in 2020.
i) Cristi Dumitrascu (the radio host of this show) who broadcast and aired this at Rock FM radio station on November 23, 2020
Thank you guys !!! Once and a million times more...not enough to say: You rock !!!
