সত্যগোপাল দে জীবনের ৬০ বছর পেরিয়েও জীবনীশক্তিতে প্রাণবন্ত একজন Child Right Activist। তবে, তাঁর জীবনের শুরুটা ছিল খুব কঠিন। দারিদ্র, বাবার সঙ্গে দূরত্ব তাঁকে এতটাই হতাশ করেছিল যে, ১৩-১৪ বছর বয়সে তিনি রেললাইনে আত্মহত্যা করতে গিয়েছিলেন। ভাগ্যক্রমে উদ্ধার পাওয়া সেই কিশোর এরপর জীবনে চরম দারিদ্র্য, খারাপ অবস্থা দেখলেও বুঝেছেন, থেমে না থেকে এগিয়ে যাওয়াই জীবনের একমাত্র সত্যি। সেই হার না-মানা সত্যগোপাল দে আজ ২৫ বছরেরও বেশী সময় ধরে দেশের একজন বিখ্যাত মহিলা এবং শিশু-আধিকার কর্মী, কবি এবং মোটিভেশনাল স্পিকার হিসেবে পরিচিত। Lutheran World Service-এর মত আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থা ছাড়াও রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন লোকশিক্ষা পরিষদ এবং CRY – Child Rights And You-এ তাঁর কর্মজীবন কাটিয়েছেন সত্যগোপাল দে। CRY – এ ২৫ বছর ধরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের স্টেট প্রোগ্রাম-এর প্রধান হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। জোশ টক্‌স-এর মঞ্চে সত্যগোপাল দে-র বক্তব্য আপনাকে অভূতপূর্ব জীবনীশক্তির হদিশ দেবে। আপনাকে শেখাবে কিভাবে জীবনের চূড়ান্ত কঠিন অবস্থায় লড়াকু মানসিকতা আপনার পরিস্থিতি ১৮০ ডিগ্রী ঘুরিয়ে দিতে পারে।

Satya Gopal Dey has 30 years experience in Development Sector out of which 25 years in Women and Child Rights and Child Protection. In 1992 he joined CRY – Child Rights And You – A National Child Rights Funding Agency was with CRY for 25 years in the capacity of State Programme Head of West Bengal. However, the starting was not so happy. Satya Gopal Dey had to fight depression and do many odd jobs just to make a living. Moving forward is the only way to go and that's we what Satya did. Today he is known in the country as a child activist, poet, and a motivational speaker.
