About Frankfort Avenue:

Frankfort Avenue is an avenue located in Algonquin, Liberty City.

The avenue starts in the north with Exeter Avenue in Northwood, travels west before turning directly south, passing through the areas of North Holland, Middle Park, Star Junction, The Triangle, and coming to an end at an intersection with Union Drive West in Suffolk. The avenue continues on in the north as the Northwood Heights Bridge, and south as Castle Drive.

Being one of the major throughways and one of only three 4-lane avenues in Algonquin, the road is home to a large number of prominent places, landmarks and skyscrapers.

The west face of Rotterdam Tower is found on the avenue, as well as Bahama Mamas and Split Sides Comedy Club, and the entrance to Booth Tunnel in Westminster. Among landmarks are services, including the Westminster Fire Station, Suffolk Police Station and Holland Hospital Center.

The entire street is a four-lane road flowing in both directions and connects to 24 streets. It also has connections to the Booth Tunnel, West Way, Hell Gate and Exeter Avenue.

It is primarily based on Eighth Avenue in Manhattan, as it passes through the Middle Park and The Triangle areas of Algonquin, resembling Manhattan’s Eighth Avenue that runs alongside Central Park. It is also based on Broadway in Upper Manhattan from West 122nd Street heading north. Generally, the portions of the avenue that pass through North Holland and Northwood are resemblant of Broadway.

Like other avenues of Algonquin, Frankfort Avenue is named after a state capital of the United States, specifically Frankfort, Kentucky.

About the game:

Grand Theft Auto IV (also known as GTA IV or GTA 4, released 2008) is the eleventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game was developed by Rockstar North and was published and released by Rockstar Games for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were released worldwide to widespread hype on April 29, 2008. The PC version was released on December 3, 2008.

GTA IV is heavily influenced by Russian gangster movies, and Niko Bellic's physical appereance is based on the character of Sasha, a Bulgarian sniper who works as a mercenary for the Bosnian-Serb Srpska paramilitary organization, from the movie Behind Enemy Lines.

Set within the fictional Liberty City, based on New York City, the single-player story follows Eastern European war veteran Niko Bellic and his attempts to escape his past while under pressure from loan sharks and mob bosses.
