Ukrainian negotiators have arrived in the United States for high-level talks with the Trump administration aimed at ending nearly four years of war with Russia, just days before the fourth anniversary of Moscow’s full-scale invasion. The meeting in Miami will involve President Donald Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, with Kyiv seeking firm security guarantees as part of any potential peace deal. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said both countries want a swift end to the conflict, blaming Russia for delays. Meanwhile, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, striking gas facilities for the sixth time in a week and worsening the country’s winter power crisis, prompting emergency repairs and increased electricity imports.
