Election Results 2024 Live Updates: The Mahayuti alliance seems all set for comfortable victory in Maharashtra as the alliance is leading on at least 2019 seats as the counting proceeds. The JMM-led INDIA bloc also ahead of BJP-led NDA in Jharkhand.
Among the alliance partners, the BJP is leading on Maharashtra in 127 seats and on 26 seats in Jharkhand, according to Election Commission of India numbers.
The Maharashtra and Jharkhand Election Result 2024 will be declared on Saturday, November 23. In Maharashtra, the counting for the 288 assembly seats took place in a single phase on November 20. Meanwhile, the counting in Jharkhand was held in two phases on November 13 and 20.
ECI Maharashtra, Jharkhand Election Results 2024 Live Updates: With hours to go for the counting of votes to kick off, all eyes are on the battle between the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the INDIA bloc. While the NDA will look to retain Maharashtra and wrest power in Jharkhand, the INDIA bloc will aim at pulling off an upset by defeating the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, while securing a victory for Hemant Soren in Jharkhand.
Most exit poll results predicted BJP-led alliance's return in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand. However, there were a few exit poll that predicted otherwise.
In Jharkhand, the Matrize Exit poll predicted 42-47 seats for the NDA and 25-30 seats for the INDIA bloc and gave 0-4 seats to others. In contrary, Axis MyIndia predicted INDIA bloc's victory with 45 percent vote share and 37 percent for the NDA. Dainik Bhaskar predicted a hung assembly.
