Charley Parkhurst / Watsonville's legendary Stage Coach Driver

Charlotte Parkhurst was born on the East Coast but lived her life as a male, fooling many as she became one of the toughest stage coach drivers in the 1860s and 1870s. Nobody apparently knew that she was a woman, until her death and that's when a doctor noticed she was not a man.

Jeff revisits her interesting life and visits her grave in Watsonville's historic Pioneer Cemetery as well as checks out other tragedies represented by the folks buried here.
