Описание к видео Final Fantasy 8 Junction8 Mod test #7

This video I forgot to enable battle textures for characters, so they stock.

I found out that junction8 has voice acting mod, and a mod that upscales and makes the movies 60 fps so I went to give it a try, but then found out that all the texture mods that where made for TONBERRY (old method of modding FF8) would not work with Junction8.

After searching online I found a couple mods that where converted from tonberry to FFnx (FFnx core system Junction8 uses) and comparing those to the original Tonberry mods I learnt how to convert Tonberry mods to FFnx, (and then after that over to junction8)

At first I converted 4 mods to junction 8 and got in the J8 catalog

Project Hellfire Plus (GF textures)
Battlefield Pack Plus (battle background textures)
Lunar Cry Plus (Monster and boss textures)
Horizon Pack Plus (world textures)


after that I ported a few more mods, but these ones I did not put into the catalog

Project Angelwing Ultima 1.0a (Background textures) (this atm is a paid mod by Mcindus, so I did not put it on catalog, but word on the street is he is just about to release a version himself onto J8 in the next few days)
SeeD Reborn Plus (User interface, menu's text ect ect)
Tripod Plus (card game textures)


After making these mods, I tried to record this play though, and kept noticing inconsistency with Squall's textures. I was unhappy with the current mod Poly-Up and its texture pack, so I decided to make a personal edit to Poly-Up to make it the way I wanted. I shared my work with the creator, and the work I did became an update, THE EYE FIX. But I still was not happy, and wanted to change and touch up many textures. So I re did most of the textures, and the config menu, and this time when I showed the original mod maker my progress, I was asked to just take the mod over, as digixu, the original mod maker was too busy to update it.

So I then released an update to poly-up and also converted another mod to Junction 8 called Rebirth Flame.

After that I was unhappy with the colors, so I made another mod, this time for reshade shaders to help make the colors more vibrant.

In these first few videos you will notice some times squall looks low res, or a bit weird. That is the reason I worked on the character texture mods. So in later videos, that should go away.

These videos are a test, to see how all the mods work together, and to see if there is anything else in the game that needs work, or mods, or upscale.

NPC's will not be upscaled as a issue needs to be fixed in FFnX before I can do that (currently every NPC needs dozens of duplicate textures for some reason. When this issue is fixed, there is planned NPC and MAGIC texture upscale mods)

Other than NPC's and magic, what else needs mods and or fixes? Lets find out
