For episode 6, Layman is joined again by clinical psychologist and developer of the Unified Theory of Knowledge, Dr. Gregg Henriques. This is a special episode, that will be cross-posted on the UTOKing with Gregg podcast. Layman developed a series of questions for Gregg on the strengths and limitations of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (the DSM), the nature of mental disorders, and how we are to understand and approach issues such as psychotic disorders, character neurosis, anxiety, depression, and many others, and Gregg responds to them all from a UTOK perspective. This episode thus serves as a useful overview for understanding UTOK's approach to mental illness and psychological well-being, and how it both overlaps with and is substantially different from psychiatry's approach as framed by the DSM.

Dr. Henriques is a Full Professor and a core faculty member in James Madison University's Combined-Integrated Clinical and School Psychology Doctoral Program. He is also a leader in the Unified Psychotherapy Movement, which attempts to use meta-theory to achieve an effective integrative scheme for the various psychotherapy paradigms.
