Carlsen takes 20 seconds for his first move | Matlakov vs Carlsen | World Blitz 2019

Magnus Carlsen arrives for the game and starts the clock. His opponent Maxim Matlakov makes the move 1.d4 and Magnus' thinking time begins. Usually in a 3-minute blitz game you want to make your moves as soon as possible. However, Magnus takes his time - he drinks his water, removes his suit and then after 20 seconds, which is quite a lot of time in a blitz game, his first move!

This just goes to show what confidence the World Champion has on his abilities!
