Thank you very much!

What was this meeting about ?

"How can we get out of hyperflexion?
Finding ways together to ensure the well-being of the horses in competition warm-ups.

Hyperflexion of the neck has been clearly shown to be harmful to horses.
It is prohibited by the regulations and by certain laws.
However, it is still frequently used, both in competitions and in training, particularly but not exclusively in dressage.
In addition to its impact on the welfare of horses, which must always be a priority according to the FEI Code of Conduct, this practice is also likely to jeopardise the "social licence to operate" (SLO) of equestrian sports.
The aim of this meeting is to reflect on concrete actions and means that can be implemented quickly to improve the situation for the horses in the warm-up areas. The Collectif Pour les Chevaux organises this meeting to make sure the horses are better protected against abusive riding.
All the actors of the equine industry should take their responsibility and protect the horses, as protecting the horses automatically means protecting the SLO.

The representatives of the federations are invited to take this chance to be proactive and make the Paris 2024 Olympics the Olympics of equine well-being, without hyperflexion."

!!!!!!!!!!! We will organise a second meeting on the 27th and 28th of April 2024, if you want to participate, please contact [email protected] !!!!!!!!!!!

During the days these recordings were made at the Collectif du Chevaux international meeting in Paris, together with members from the FEI, the FEI was hosting European dressage championships sponsored by Andreas Helgstrands companies and the FEI choose to host the event at the Riesenbeck venue, partly owned by the companies of Andreas Helgstrand.

On Thursday 7th September Andreas Helgstrand won a team bronze medal for Denmark, at the Championships he sponsored, hosted at a venue his company owns.

The FEI team dressage was presented by Helgstrand Dressage, The final FEI kür was presented by Kingsland, a company owned by Helgstrand with majority share.
The showground Riesenbeck International was in 2021 the acquisition of Global Equestrian Group, the CEO of the Group is Andreas Helgstrand.

On 20 June 2023, Helgstrand revealed in a press release that a groom has been working in his stable undercover for the TV2 documentary "Operation X" and has taken video footage with a hidden camera. In court it was disclosed the footage contains images of alleged horse abuse.

In these recordings of talks given you will also see documentation from Epona.tv blue tongue video with Patrick kittel. Summer 2022 Patrik Kittel has bought into Global Equestrian Group, which is jointly owned by Ludger Beerbaum, Waterland Private Equity, and Andreas Helgstrand. Also in more than one talk photos from Falsterbo Horse Show of Andreas Helgstrand riding the grey mare Stamina will be seen. Of these the FEI wrote in 2015 : "The FEI finds these images extremely disturbing. We are very concerned about this incident and we are investigating it thoroughly. We have already contacted the Chief Steward at Falsterbo to ask for a full report specifically on this issue”

On 19 September 2023, after the International Meeting of the Collectif Pour les Chevaux, Andreas Helgstrand looses the bronze medal he won at the 2023 Danish Dressage Championship following a decision of the Danish Equestrian Federation's appeal committee.
