LONG - Overdrive comparison BOSS SD-1 vs OD-3 into a Marshall JTM-45

This is a longer comparison of a BOSS SUPER OverDrive SD-1 overdrive with a BOSS OverDrive OD-3.

I created a loop of music that I play three times. Each loop has the DRIVE control set to a different amount and I vary the TONE.

I demonstrate the pedals on rhythm guitar and then lead.

Both pedals were manufactured in 2020.

The overdrive pedals are going into the front of a Marshall JTM-45 head (channel 1) and 1936 cab.

The OD-3 is louder than the SD-1 (more than I thought) so I matched the LEVEL on the SD-1

I used the bridge pickup on a USA Fender Stratocaster for all the rhythm guitar parts and the neck pickup for the lead.

The bass parts were played on a Fender precision bass.
