On May 6, 2024, I was observing eastbound traffic on Interstate 40. I observed a white Uhaul box truck travel onto the fog line after it passed me. I pulled onto the Interstate and stopped the vehicle at the 109-mile marker eastbound. I approached the vehicle on the passenger side and made contact with the driver (Seth Molen). While approaching the vehicle, I noticed that the box truck had what appeared to be a new master lock on the door. I advised Molen my reasoning for the stop and asked to see his driver’s license and paperwork on the vehicle. Molen was very nervous while I was speaking with him. His hands were shaky, and his carotid artery was beating very fast.

While speaking with Molen, I could smell an overwhelming scent of cleaner and air freshener emitting from inside his vehicle. Molen advised me that he was going through a divorce and that he was moving from Oklahoma back to Atlanta. I asked Molen more than once what his mailing address was while he lived in Oklahoma, but he could not give me the address. Molen advised me that he had been living with a friend there for a few months. I then returned to my patrol car so that I could run his license. Molen’s criminal history showed that he had been arrested for DWI and possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver. I returned to Molen’s vehicle and asked for consent to search the cargo area of the box truck. Molen granted consent and retrieved the key to the lock from his bag sitting next to him on the floor. When Molen opened the door, I could smell a strong odor of marijuana inside the cargo area of the box truck. I located 21 large Home Depot boxes containing numerous vacuum sealed bundles of marijuana.

I then placed Molen in hand restraints and placed him in the back of my patrol car. Russell wrecker arrived on scene and transported the vehicle to the Conway County Detention Center while I followed in my patrol car. Once at the detention center, I performed a field test and obtained a field weight of the marijuana. The total weight was 434 pounds, and it did in fact test positive for marijuana. All evidence was then turned over to the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force. Molen is being charged with 5-64-436(b)(5) possession with purpose to deliver controlled substance schedule VI = 100 LBS 500 LBS, and 5-64-443(a)(2) possession of felony drug paraphernalia.
