ANU Cosmologist Dr Brad Tucker says an ambitious $100 million initiative the Breakthrough Listen project is investigating an unidentified radio beam from a nearby planet.

Dr Tucker told Sky News, “the question is, obviously is it real, and if it potentially is not explained by human sources, what could cause it?”

“It’s a big step to say it is an artificial sign, but it’s one of the more interesting signals they’ve found in this project searching for intelligent life”.
