9 Things you NEED in your Picture Book Portfolio

Hello Art Friends! I'm Anoosha Syed, a professional children's book illustrator and today we are talking about Publishing Portfolios!

I have a lot of people who are interested in becoming a picture book artist asking me what are the steps you take to illustrate books for a living. And I also have people who have been trying to make this into a career for a while, but aren’t really able to find work, asking me what they’re doing wrong.

There are a lot of things that go into becoming a successful illustrator, but really the most important thing you need is a good portfolio.
