क्या हर Ovarian Cyst के लिए Surgery ज़रूरी होती है?

कई बार जब ultrasound report में Ovarian Cyst लिखा आता है, तो सबसे पहले मन में यही डर आता है —
अब तो सर्जरी करवानी पड़ेगी।
लेकिन सच ये है कि हर cyst के लिए सर्जरी ज़रूरी नहीं होती।

Ovarian cyst का मतलब ये नहीं कि ऑपरेशन पक्का है।
जब आपकी sonography report में cyst दिखती है, तो पहले हम medical treatment try करते हैं,
कुछ हफ्तों के लिए दवाइयाँ दी जाती हैं, और फिर cyst का size दोबारा check किया जाता है।

लेकिन कुछ situations ऐसी होती हैं, जब doctor को सर्जरी की सलाह देनी पड़ती है।

कब Ovarian Cyst के लिए Surgery ज़रूरी हो सकती है?
Cyst का साइज 6 cm से ज़्यादा हो
बड़ी cysts खुद से dissolve नहीं होतीं
Complications का risk बढ़ता है
Cyst में solid components दिखे
इससे suspicion होता है कि वो functional नहीं, बल्कि complex या tumor-type की है
Tumor markers positive आएं
ये blood tests होते हैं जैसे CA-125, AFP, Beta-hCG etc.
इनसे पता चलता है cyst benign है या suspicious
Cyst का torsion हो जाए
यानी cyst घूम जाए और ovaries में blood supply block हो जाए
ये एक emergency है, और immediate surgery की ज़रूरत होती है
Hemorrhagic cyst rupture हो जाए
जब cyst फट जाए और पेट में खून फैल जाए
इससे अचानक pain होता है और BP drop हो सकता है
Chocolate cyst, Endometrioma
अगर intercourse के दौरान pain हो
या conception में दिक्कत आ रही हो
Dermoid cyst या cystadenoma जैसे tumors
जो खुद से खत्म नहीं होते और धीरे-धीरे बढ़ते जाते हैं

क्या हर positive Tumor Marker का मतलब Cancer होता है?
नहीं।
Positive tumor marker सिर्फ एक संकेत है — cancer confirm करने का तरीका नहीं।
Doctor बाकी symptoms, ultrasound findings और reports देखकर final decision लेते हैं।

Cyst के और क्या लक्षण होते हैं, जिनसे surgery की ज़रूरत पड़ सकती है?
Lower abdomen pain
Pelvic bloating
Intercourse के समय pain
Frequent urge to urinate या bowel pressure
अगर ये symptoms worsen होते जाएं, तो doctor surgery consider कर सकते हैं।


तो क्या करें अगर report में Cyst लिखा आए?
Panic मत कीजिए
Regular follow-up करिए
Doctor की सलाह से blood tests करवाइए
Symptoms पर ध्यान दीजिए
हर cyst में surgery की ज़रूरत नहीं होती, decision case by case लिया जाता है।

Conclusion:
Ovarian cyst का मतलब हर बार surgery नहीं होता।
कुछ cysts hormone-based होती हैं और कुछ हफ्तों में गायब भी हो जाती हैं।
लेकिन जब size बढ़ रहा हो, pain शुरू हो जाए, या suspicious findings हों, तभी surgery ज़रूरी होती है।
