Discover how to order food in Japanese with these 2 expressions!

#1 sumimasen すみません　−　excuse me (use to get the waiter's attention)

#2 _______ onegaishimasu おねがいします　− _____ please

Counters (general use)

Place before onegaishimasu when ordering for the number of items desired.

1 - hitotsu ひとつ
2 - futatsu ふたつ
3 - mittsu みっつ
4 - yottsu よっつ
5 - itsutsu いつつ
6 - muttsu むっつ
7 - nanatsu ななつ
8 - yattsu やっつ
9 - kokonotsu ここのつ
10 - too とう

Use the particle to (と) as "and" to order different items.

ex. 5 ramens and 4 beers and 1 ice cream please.
５ラーメンと４ビールと１アイスクリームおねがいします。
Itsutsu raamen to yottsu biiru to hitotsu aisu kuriimu onegaishimasu.
