Watercolour NC500 Road Trip - Episode Two: painting wildflowers and seascapes in John o'Groats

Living and creating from the cosy confines of our campervan, I set out to capture the ever‑changing landscapes to see if I can get back to painting for pleasure following a decade of painting to a deadline.

From white sandy beaches, native wildflowers and the dramatic heights of Bealach na Bà - the UK’s steepest single‑track mountain road which winds up from sea level to over 2,000 ft with hair‑raising views through the Torridon Hills - the journey promises scenes ripe for painting.
