Today marks Round 4 of the Race by Wire (RbW) Porsche Cup Season 1 as sponsored by Energise Virtual Solutions and hosted on iRacing!

In this round we return to the USA for the rollercoaster ride of road racing that is Road Atlanta. With rolling elevation changes interwoven into its 12 corners meaning many of them feature blind apexes, this 2.54 mile circuit is one where muscle memory and finding a rhythm are absolutely critical to success. Get it right and our drivers shall find the fine line which is driving right on the limit. Get it wrong however and they may just make a mistake which sees them fall right into the clutches of their rivals who will be eager to make an overtake!

In the Gold Class Drivers’ Championship, it was a missed opportunity at Le Mans for Oscar Berntsson whose win in the Sprint was undermined by a seventh place in the Feature. Still, he leads by a stable 13 points ahead of Mats Strand who experienced his own challenges in France. Yet, both will be wary of the rising momentum of Kim Andre Bjørklund and Richard Simnor who now sit only six points behind after their season-best performances last round!

In the Silver Class Drivers’ Championship, Glenn Grondelaers has established himself at the top of the standings following another strong showing last week including a hard-earned Feature win. He will be keen to boost his 22 point lead today, but with many drivers on pace including his closest rivals Christer Halsoy and Emma Ruiu, and some only being held back by their own mistakes such as Matt Spurrell, it will be far from easy for Grondelaers!
