✦ About the Cocktail: Sharp & Refined
The Gimlet has deep roots in the British Royal Navy. It is widely believed to be named after Rear-Admiral Sir Thomas Gimlette, who allegedly prescribed a mix of gin and lime to sailors to help combat scurvy. Unlike its more complex cousins, the Gimlet is defined by its Sharp and Clear profile. It is a masterclass in balance—the aromatic punch of gin meeting the tart, concentrated zing of lime. It remains one of the most Refined and timeless drinks in a bartender's repertoire.

• 60 ml (2 oz) Gin
• 30 ml (1 oz) Lime Juice (or Lime Cordial)
• 15 ml (0.5 oz) Simple Syrup (if using fresh lime)
