Just having some fun with my Trex 450 SA and took my -6 V2 4400 kv 525 watt Scorpion motor out for a break for a bit, and decided to give my ol' little Align 430L some love.

I wanted to try an autorotation as I've never done one before since the craft was ultra light with this set-up and would have been in my favor, especially at the end where I was heading into the wind, but decided against it as I forgot my CG was off and the bird was tail heavy and forgot to fix that before take-off... maybe another time however...

With my Scorpion motor, and Castle 80 amp esc with a 3s 2200 mah 35c Common-Sense RC lipo the 450 weighs 813 grams.

With this set-up in the video RTF with that little lipo, the craft rests at 569 grams. Of course, the battery lacks the punch (duh...LMAO), but still something to fly around with for simple sport flying.

This battery weighs 87 grams compared to my CS 35c lipo which weighs 194 grams.

E-Flite 25 amp Pro esc gutted out to 22 grams.
300 watt 3550 kv Align 430L with a 12t.
Thunder Power Prolite 3s 1320 mah 13c lipo. (17a cont / 27 amp bursts) 1 1/2 years old...

AR6100 W/ DX7.
GY401 W/ Futaba 9257 W/ 5.1 stepdown regulator.
Hitec HS-65 MG's for cyclic.
320mm CF SAB main blades.
Microheli head assembly, swash, & grips.
Microheli cnc canopy mounts, boom support rod mounts and bracket.

CP-Pro flybar paddles. (3.87 grams ea)


Flown in idle 2 with a 90% flat T-curve.

Because of the craft being so light, and less energy required, I average 5 1/2 to 6 minute flights... I "put back" 1016 mah into the 1320 mah lipo in this video...

All components cool after the flight.

Right afterwards I ran a 3s 15c Thunder-Power Prolite 2100 mah... See other video for results...
