While traveling from Kargil to Srinagar, one will come across picturesque landscapes. The views are simply breathtaking and you can witness the road dotted with maple trees which makes the journey more beautiful. Along the route, there are many attractions like Drass Valley, Kargil War Memorial, Zoji La Pass, Sonamarg, Baltal Valley. The distance between Kargil & Srinagar is approx. 202 kilometers. The road is a mix of good, bad and ugly. The ugly part is mostly limited around the Zoji La pass. For the rest of the distance, the road either remains to be good or average.

Zoji La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.528m (11,575ft) above the sea level, located in the Kargil district of Ladakh, in India. The pass links Leh and Srinagar, provides an important link between Ladakh and Kashmir. It’s said to be one of the most treacherous passes in the world. The road to the summit is unpaved. It’s a spectacular mountain road pass, with stunning views and heart-stopping moments. Located within the Himalayas mountain range, the long and winding road offers hell of an experience which challenges you and puts your riding skills to test.
