Here is a cabaret show with soprano Patricia Racette and pianist Paul Trueblood from Manhattan's Viennese restaurant, Café Sabarsky, located within the Neue Galerie. The concert was part of the Berlin in Lights Festival presented by Carnegie Hall in November, 2007. The festival included numerous events at venues throughout the city, representing different art forms that portrayed the culture of Berlin. Patricia Racette is known as a preeminent singing actress in the world of opera. When she first performed cabaret in public in 2004, she could sense the stunned reaction to her cabaret-style production of low Es and Fs, which opera fans were not expecting. "They ended up loving it, but I was sweating those first couple of songs. I thought, oh my God, they hate it! It's a dangerous life. Honestly, if I could do cabaret the majority of the time, it would thrill me to no end. It's my soul speaking at its simplest."
