I own a full size 1965 Chevy C-10 Custom that my wife and I have named Maynerd. He is not four wheel drive but has an original body (except for the tailgate) complete with dents, dings, body damage, and patina paint!
We purchased Maynerd just as he is shown in this video and the only thing I have done to him is replacing the head gasket on the inline 6 cylinder engine a couple of years ago.
Ever since I had got back into RC with the rock crawler trucks, I had wanted to do a build with the Proline 1966 Chevy C-10 body and give it the same patina paint job Maynerd has. I started ordering all the parts for the build and decided that I would use the Redcat Gen8 as the chassis, since my bud, Celtic Drones, had used the PACK chassis kit on his build.
Once Mini Maynerd was completed and ready to go, I took him to the same wash to give him a good test run, unfortunately, I experienced some pretty bad glitching! Come to find that the budget speed control I was using couldn't put out enough power for the 25kg steering servo, it was time to return to the workbench and order more parts!
