Utah Canyoneering - Epic Blarney Loop - Lonely Saguaro

In the first Lonely Saguaro Canyons and Climbs video, we link up two North Wash canyons, The Blarney East and West forks. But for this link up, we actually climbed and stemmed up the East fork and descended the West fork. This is known as the Epic Blarney Loop!

There is a single crux climb going up the East fork that can be tackled a number of ways, one is to hope that someone left a handline in place (but I wouldn't count on this), carefully stem up this widish climb, use a pack toss, or a partner assist. It helps to have a climber in the group to tackle some of these obstacles. The climb out of the canyon could be intimidating to some, as it is exposed and on less than ideal rock. But there are many decent foot and hand holds to work your way up the wall.

After this its a short hike to the West fork of Blarney. This is definitely the more scenic route, with a few rappels (the longest being close to 50 feet) and fun, gritty narrows, this one is hard to hate.
