I do this so you don't have to...a spiritual journey to Cairo, Illinois (and I have been corrected--it's pronounced KAY-RO, I should have known that!), the sleepy Mississippi River town where Ray Butts built the Echosonic Amp in the 1950's. If you really want to feel like a jackass, just put a 50 year old amplifier in the middle of a deserted old town where it was built and wait for a local to wander by and ask you what the hell you're doing!
