Michael Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo, a teacher and a comedian has reportedly been dismissed by the Ghana Education Service over ,GES for professional misconduct. The comedian over the past years had taken the opportunity of his huge platform to throw to the public several ills of the Ghanaian educational system, the challenges faced by some basic students especially those in rural areas. The repeated action by Teacher Kwadwo attracted attention by the GES who operate under the wings of the Ghanaian government ! The institution sent a series of warnings to the Comedian to put a stop his such behaviour because it was a clear breach of conduct in the GES code despite the fact that he’s bringing a series of standing issues to the attention of the government. However, as determined as he was, the caution fell on deaf ears. On December 19th, 2021, Michael Owusu Afriyie posted on his social media handle that he’s been dismissed of his role as Teacher by the GES! Full of angst and disappointment, Teacher Kwadwo has vowed to further expose the institution, at least for now he’s not under any set of codes. “Now I will start with the fight from the District Education Office. They initiated all this because they felt uncomfortable with how I was spitting the truth. I will let the whole world know how the director unlawfully sent a letter to my bank to put embargo on my account.” Teacher Kwadwo fires up with this strong warning after he was sacked by the GES.
