Anything that connects with the sidesteps active frames will be parried. Anything that the sidestep moves you out of the way of will not be parried. It has to be able to hit you during the sidestep. This is why its so difficult to use on humans. They're too puny and small, and they mostly use straight linear attacks.
Eg It usually doesn't work on the Giant Skeletons large overhead slam....except I was facing backwards...so it worked because the sidestep moved into the attack instead of away from it.
The bigger the attack, the easier it is to trigger the parry.

The muneshige skillsin the video can't be parried with any other parry skill as far as I know. And some of them can't be blocked either.

You get full invincibility during the animation, but you can be hit after it ends. Be careful when you use it.
