This Dog was Beyond Matted

This dog was beyond matted and lost on a busy road. His foster Mom called me in a panic on a Saturday night asking if I would free him from the dirty mats keeping him a prisoner inside his own coat. I agreed to see her and this matted Goldendoodle the next morning in my grooming salon. Because I know how painful mats can be to a dog, I certainly wanted to help this dog feel better.
Lucky for you, I decided to film this groom to help you successfully groom dogs that are matted. This is an emergency groom on a Goldendoodle and as pet groomers, we often see matted doodles as the coat is dense, heavy, and high maintenance.
We can all be certain at some point there will be a matted dog on our grooming table, and I want YOU to be prepared with the knowledge to make it a successful grooming session.
