THE HEROES OF WHO (Waao in Wales Documentary)

Описание к видео THE HEROES OF WHO (Waao in Wales Documentary)

A vlog style documentary of Atticus's time studying abroad in Cardiff, Wales during fall 2023.

With the album process fully underway, Atticus went abroad for his second to last term of college at Drexel University. He wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to travel while still in college, as well as add some alternative experiences to the later stages of the final Waao album. Doubling as a senior project and a conclusion to the Waao album collection, "Let Me Hear You Say Waao" has quite some weight to it.

Most of the writing and recording of the songs had already begun before the trip, but there was still a lot to be done. Penning lyrics, recording piano, and creating a primary tracklist for the project are a few of the pivotal steps that Atticus took while abroad, influenced by the new city and spare equipment he had access to.

The name "Heroes of Who" comes from the band that Atticus started with two other Cardiff University students, Will Hall-Mutton and Olli Himnan. They played open mics at a nearly pub called Gassy's, that were hosted by the Cardiff University Live Music Society. Will would end up recording electric guitar for the album track "IL2L," and both boys would add background vocals to the chorus of "That's All" before Atticus returned home.

This documentary contains instrumentals from the final version of "Let Me Hear You Say Waao." Stream the album here, or check out the early, senior project version of the album titled "Waao 4" on Bandcamp!
