If you're not thinking about a mobile phone strategy, then you're not in touch with your learners! This is why it's really important to understand the difference between a responsive LMS and a native app. Most LMSs are web-based.

You can deliver that LMS experience on your mobile phone through a 'responsive site.' This means it will shrink down to fit your mobile phone. This is why it's called responsive. The design responds to the device in which the learner is using to look at the website.

A native mobile app is purposely built for the mobile phone. It's downloaded straight to your mobile phone. If you're going to have a learning app, you need to make sure it can be used on all phone types (Apple/Android etc)
