Welcome to Eve of St Mark a channel dedicated to violin-driven metal forged in atmosphere, tension and slow, crushing riffs. This is music shaped by haunting melodies, mournful strings and the weight of British darkness: cold moors, ancient stone circles, winter skies and the echo of old folklore.
The sound blends distorted low-tuned guitars with sorrowful violins, deep male vocals, ethereal female harmonies and heavy, immersive arrangements. Each track is built to feel cinematic and oppressive, capturing the sense of something ancient stirring beneath the landscape.
If you’re drawn to bleak, melodic heaviness, the kind that mixes beauty with weight this is your place.
Subscribe, step into the atmosphere, and witness the sound of the darkened edge of the world.

Songs of the Damned emerged from a place where heavy music, folklore and atmosphere collide , a space I’ve carried with me since the early 90s. Doom metal shaped my youth: slow, crushing chords, mournful melodies and lyrics steeped in sorrow, myth and the darker corners of the world. Years spent playing in bands carved that feeling deeper, and those influences continue to haunt everything I create today.
This album is an attempt to channel that mood through a new medium. The tracks were built around a blend of distorted riffs, haunting violins and dual vocals that shift between the human and the ghost like. Each song follows its own path, but together they form a journey through betrayal, curses, forgotten faith and the quiet terror of the British landscape.
AI is simply another lantern in the fog. It doesn’t replace the craft or the years spent learning how music should feel , it just widens the horizon. It lets me chase ideas that once stayed locked in imagination, giving shape to sounds I could never fully capture before. Some will embrace this path, others may turn away, but I see it as part of the future: a new tool, not a replacement for the old fire that first lit my love for heavy music.
AI plays its part in bringing these pieces to life, not by replacing musicianship, but by allowing ideas to stretch further than ever. Some songs took many attempts before they found the right balance of heaviness, melody and atmosphere. The medium may be modern, but the spirit behind it, the drive to create something bleak, immersive and emotionally charged remains exactly the same.
Songs of the Damned isn’t meant to follow trends. It’s meant to feel like a candle burning in a ruined church, or a bell tolling across an empty field. It draws from the landscapes, stories and music that shaped me, and it invites listeners to step into a world where beauty and darkness live side by side.
For those who hear that call, welcome. For everyone else, these songs will wait in the shadows until the night grows quiet enough to find them.
