About the Roland VR-50HD MK II...
The reality of live event production is that the input and output needs changes from event to event. The flexibility to handle the most common camera and computer source switching combinations is built-in with selectable SDI and HDMI inputs per crosspoint. Every input has a format converter and scaler so you can use 1080p, 1080i, 720p and even 480 i/p. Essential for events is the ability to load four still images and display them on the touch screen Multiview so they are immediately accessible to go to for breaks, brand and safety slides. Compositing up to four video layers with two resizable Picture in Picture windows and downstream keying allows for inset windows and adding titles and watermarks.

A dedicated switchable AUX video output provides a second independent output downstage confidence displays keeping presenters on message and mixing audio monitor levels with aux output mixing to dedicated audio outputs allows people on stage to have their own audio mix separate from the mix for the main speakers or live stream.

A wide range of audio inputs including RCA, XLR and ¼" TRS that support up to six microphones and mixing of audio embedded in video signals will cover the audio input needs of conferences, discussion panels, presentations and speeches. The audio mixer section outperforms the analog mixer typically found for corporate AV presentations. With newly designed mic-preamps, full EQ and dynamics and the digital benefits of automatic microphone mixing make it ideal for panel discussions and the automatic anti-feedback control prevents annoying disruptions.

Integrating audio and video enables automation and the VR-50MKII can use audio cues from microphones for “video follows audio” and automatically switch video based on who’s speaking - making the task of switching a lively panel discussion easier than ever.

Remote control of robotic PTZ cameras Pan, Tilt and Zoom functions is done directly from within the VR-50HD MKII over LAN and eliminates the need and cost of a separate, dedicated PTZ controller.

The VR-50HD MK II uses the same connection technology as webcams to capture and live stream to share events to reach a worldwide audience. Simply plug into a computer via USB 3.0 and use any streaming service that’s able to use a webcam as its source.
