Today we will show you how to reset and configure a Huawei CPE B593-E304 4G home router & The B535-B2F2 home router but for the purpose of this tutorial, we will focus on the CPE B593-E304.

First, we will factory reset the Huawei router by inserting a hard object into the reset button and then allow the device to reset.

Let connect onto the default B593 WiFi SSDI using the default password.

To gain access to the configuration page of this Huawei Router, let type in the device's IP address or the device default web address (URL) that is homerouter.cpe and by default, on most routers, the username and password are both admins.

Configuration of the Huawei Router:
Home: Here you see all the internet status and Internet data usage
Internet: Here you have all the Network Connection, ability to change/create APN for a specific network as well as the PIN management.
Wifi: Here we have all the settings related to the WiFi and you can enable or disable the broadcasting of the WiFi signal, Change/rename your WiFi name and Change the WiFi password.
Security: Here you have options to filter users by MAC address or Filter URL by allowing some URL and blocking other sites on your WiFi but also allow or block device by MAC addresses.
System: Here you have options to Restart your 4 G router, Reset your 4 G router, Download configuration file for your 4G router and Upload that configuration file.

To change the WiFi name and password, proceed by going to Home -- Quick Setup the follow the steps that are on the screen to change your Country/Region, WiFi Mode & Channel and also Change the SSID, Go to next, under WiFi Security, select the type of security then type in your new password and click to next then submit.

APN Configuration :
You will need to get network settings from your service provider then go to the Internet -- APN Management. APN being the internet access point name provided by the service provider, these APN settings will vary between service providers. Under APN profile, go to Add and create a new profile.
Type in the Profile name and the APN provided by your service provider then submit. Now under APN Management, you will have two profiles and under Internet menu, you select the appropriate profile for your SIM card.
