The other day I went to Inter River Park in North Vancouver to photograph some dogs.

That’s when I spotted someone carrying a pet-carrier that said “RABID” on it.

I obviously wanted to know what was in that carrier lol 😂

So I asked her…

But I did NOT expect her to pull out a lil’ tortoise 🐢 lol

Ray is a 4 year old Tortoise who is described by his loving parents as a shark, a villain and a menace to society. 😂

He likes to bite things (good thing his bites don’t hurt lol)

And his fave snacks are dandelion leaves, butter lettuce and yellow bell peppers.

I absolutely LOVE his little enclosure with the bright CAUTION and Jurassic Park decals 😂

I swear, every time I go out I meet the most amazing individuals and pets.

But I don't think I've ever met someone with a pet tortoise!

It’s really given me a new perspective & appreciation for the people who call Vancouver home.
