Brothers and sisters, as we open our Bibles to the book of Daniel, we encounter one of the most profound prophecies in all of scripture: Daniel’s 70 weeks. This message is of incredible importance because it unfolds God’s timeline for Israel and the world. Many believers today feel the urgency of our times, sensing that the return of our Lord may be nearer than ever. Yet, we don’t set dates; instead, we seek to understand God’s revealed Word, for His timing is perfect.

The prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27 provides a clear picture of God’s plan from ancient Israel’s history to the coming tribulation and Christ’s return. This prophecy reveals how God will bring about His promises, fulfilling every word He’s spoken to Israel and to the church. However, interpreting these “70 weeks” involves understanding complex historical events, distinct periods of time, and even different calendars—Gentile and Jewish.
