BJP's Hyderabad candidate, Madhavi Latha, known to make anti-Muslim remarks, resorted to personally verifying voters at a polling booth in Telangana.
She was seen harassing women voters by asking them to remove their veils and show their ID cards.


As per the conduct of Election Rules, Identity of a voter can be checked only by polling agents.Madhavi Latha also disrupted polling agents from discharging their duty by crying foul over the identity of one of the Muslim women.

Madhavi Latha was booked under many sections of the IPC & Representation of People Act.
