Cassia Tora is a monsoon herb also called taikilo in Konkani and taikilo ambado is a favorite Konkani cuisine. Tora leaves is also called as taikilo in konkani, tagache in kannada, tajanku in tulu, thakara in malayalam. Chegate soppu in kannada is also used to prepare palya, ambade or upkari with jackfruit seeds. Ambado/ambade(kannada) in Konkani is a fried item.
This recipe is my mother's recipe.
You can never say no to taikile ambado.
