Islam's solution to Racism | Alyas Karmani

Alyas Karmani from Street UK discusses the Islamic perspective on racism and hatred in detail, highlighting clear statements from the Qur'an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

With October being Black History Month in the UK, the One Community department re-launched its "Against Racism, Against Hatred" campaign during this month under the title: "Islam & Black History”.

On Wednesday 28th October, an event was arranged in Newcastle University with a host of speakers and organisations from various backgrounds, discussing the role of black people in Islamic history, sharing their experiences of being black and Muslim, and explaining Islam’s solution to racism.
