The Parramatta Light Rail (to be officially called the L4 Westmead and Carlingford line) has finished construction, and when it finishes testing it will become the newest addition to Sydney's public transport network. Along with Sydney Metro West, this new tram line forms part of the plan to turn Parramatta into Sydney's second CBD - but will it achieve this? And beyond that, will the line actually form a useful part of Western Sydney's mass transit network.
