The first domestic flight since the fall of the Assad regime has taken off from the Syrian capital, Damascus.
It is heading to Aleppo - which was the first city to fall over two weeks ago.
The airport had been shut down for security reasons.
The resumption of internal flights marks an important milestone as the country starts to rebuild after the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, Jordan has announced that it will re-open its northern border crossing with Syria to truck traffic.
The crossing was closed earlier this month shortly before Bashar al-Assad was removed from power.
Jordan says the flow of goods and freight traffic between the two countries will now resume.
Syria has cancelled all fees and stamps previously required to enter.

Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar has more from Damascus, Syria.
