Wietse Meinardi speelt Toccata Chromatica (Echoes of Sweelinck) van Ad Wammes op het Hey-orgel van de Trinitatiskirche in Sondershausen (Duitsland).

Dit frisse orgelwerk is een van de moeilijkste werken dat ik ooit gestudeerd heb. Ik heb het sinds 2016 op diverse concerten gespeeld, maar vrijwel nergens helemaal foutloos. Ook op dit concert niet... Dat zegt wel wat. De ritmische solostem in het begin zit in het pedaal en gaat voor je gevoel dwars tegen de rest in.
Op dit orgel komt het goed tot zijn recht in een prachtig klinkende ruimte.
Tijdens de muziek zijn foto's te zien die ik zelf maakte. En nog twee die gemaakt zijn door de fotograaf van de plaatselijke krant Kyffhäuser Nachrichten.

This fresh organ work is one of the most difficult works I have ever studied. I have played it at various concerts since 2016, but nowhere completely flawless. Not at this concert either... That says something.
The rhythmic solo voice in the beginning is in the pedal and you feel that it goes against the rest.
On this organ it comes into its own in a beautiful sounding room.
