Episode 4 of the Polar Triangle Backgammon Opening Series

Sharing my approach to learning Opening Backgammon play for Cash and Match Games
It is easy to turn any position into a 30 to 60 minute master class and this is very true of opening play. But that is not always fun.
The goal of the Polar Triangle Series of videos is to create the opportunity for you to challenge yourself and improve your opening play while learing how to make strategy adjustments based on Match Score in a shorter format.
In order to keep each lesson to about 10 minutes long we cannot talk about all the finer points of each position, but over the course of all the videos in this series you will see the various strategies and what to look for.
If you are starting out with the game of backgammon or you have been playing for a while but haven't been playing matches, these videos are exactly the place to learn to develop a game plan for your opening play.
It is nice to get moves correct, it increases your winning % but it is almost impossible to consistently play at a high level if you are not formulating a plan before the dice have even stopped rolling. It's not the dice . . . it is the situation in front of you.
