MIDI Maze / Faceball 2000 - Versions Comparison (HD)

Comparison video of the classic FPS MIDI Maze developed by Xanth Software F/X and released for the Atari ST by Hybrid Arts in 1987. We didn’t know this game before the video (thanks to Diskun for the suggestion) but It is said that it introduced the deathmatch combat to gaming. Unfortunately we couldn't test the network game so the gameplay you will find in the video shows player vs. CPU combats only.

Apart from the unreleased Atari 8-bit family version, the other ones are not exactly direct ports but completely new games inspired by the original with several changes and new features. They were titled Faceball 2000 in Game Boy, Game Gear and Super Nintendo, merely Faceball in PC Engine CD-ROM and NikoChan Battle in Virtual Boy (this version was also cancelled).
