Genndy Tartakovsky | Reading the Action

Timing is an essential element in giving meaning to a characters movement, but I want to broaden the exploration of timing and focus on it as a pacing device, as well as minute timing of motion.

Genndy Tartakovsky’s work is fascinating as the action he creates is renowned, and I think he does it in three simple ways: building anticipation, strong, stylised posing and how he cuts them together to direct our attention.
