Chronic Inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract is referred to as Crohn’s Disease. It is one of the Bowel Diseases whose differential diagnosis is important to understand. Crohn's Disease differential diagnosis includes the explanation of a variety of diseases such as celiac disease, Chronic Pancreatitis, Colorectal Cancer, Infection, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, and several others.

After taking the history, its diagnosis includes the rectal examination and abdominal examination. Investigation through lab test demonstrates the iron, folate, or vitamin B12 deficiencies i.e. one of the Water Soluble Vitamins, increased Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, testing for Clostridium difficile Infection which is among the Spore Forming Gram Positive Rods, and examination for ova and parasites is also carried out.

Diagnosis using Clinical Radiology techniques illustrates the result of CT Enterography which accurately defines the location and active Inflammation. MR Enterography and endoscopy are also used for the diagnosis of Crohn’s disease Pathology.
