Brake warning message in BMW 1-Series E87 caused most likely by brake pad sensor which was not replaced while servicing brakes. Old, worn out brake pad sensor will light up red service message and red brake indicator at all time in your BMW car.
To fix this issue you need to check if your brake pads sensors are not worn out and connected correctly to your BMWs wiring.
